NADDUM Press SUBSCRIBER LIST: Our information news service, an adjunct to this NADDUM.com website, has a subscriber email list to which we send articles and commentary of interest to those who wish to follow energy, resource and cultural issues resulting from our overpopulated Gaian headlong rush toward collapse.

-To subscribe, send an email note, with NADDUM SUBSCRIPTION in caps in the subject line to : edmund (at) montanasky.net

We have posted over 2000 articles to this list since September, 2006. We average about 100 articles, many with commentary, each month. We tend to focus on energy, resources, local culture and preparation for the coming collapse of industrial civilization. We largely bypass politics and the war, except where they look to intersect and impact with us as individuals in our local communities, or where they are obvious examples of evolutionary behavior.

We are expanding our work, and are taking on several new correspondents and writers to examine issues of science versus technology, the politics of culture, the relationship of our evolved inability to understand entropy, and more. We will be posting essays by thoughtful writers and thinkers on these and other issues related to preparation for civilization's collapse and our understanding of that inevitability.

NADDUM.org: We intend to archive the best of these emailed articles, and our essays and commentary, on an archival site (www.NADDUM.org) this summer. We will make the articles searchable by keyword. They will be available as a research tool for those wishing to understand energy, entropy, resource depletion, evolutionary psychology, leadership psychopathology, and more.

-Stay tuned for a future link to NADDUM.org.

NADDUM Press presents Bite: Visions of Entropy, a small, 37-page, unique book of poetry and song lyrics.

Bite is a personal and societal look at our entropic existance through one person's eyes. These poems are short and pointed.

Here's a sample from page 16:

Mother

Skin and bones
Still moving, though, ambling down the hall to the stall
One leg shorter, like her memory
Bent back, sore mind
“Son, will you open that box for me?”
Same box, three times in one day, in one life, in one mind
Pictures she has, photographer she is, was, will be yet
Mounted prints like leaves of time
Stacked thick and heavy, matboard
Spreading out across the table, floor, space between us
What do we do with these?
They reach toward nephew, niece, friend
Only to return to boxed stasis
Boxed years
Tears
Hugs
New box, fresh mind

Rising late
More tears
“Awoke to find I’m still here. Sorry for the tear.”
Nearly ninety
Too old, too long
Too tired

Friends come, call, stay for tea
Go back
Out of mind, out of sight

We, though, are here for the duration
Let’s make it good
A laugh a day
‘Til the flames come
