NADDUM Press SUBSCRIBER LIST: Our information news service, an adjunct to this NADDUM.com website, has a subscriber email list to which we send articles and commentary of interest to those who wish to follow energy, resource and cultural issues resulting from our overpopulated Gaian headlong rush toward collapse.
We have posted over 2000 articles to this list since September, 2006. We average about 100 articles, many with commentary, each month. We tend to focus on energy, resources, local culture and preparation for the coming collapse of industrial civilization. We largely bypass politics and the war, except where they look to intersect and impact with us as individuals in our local communities, or where they are obvious examples of evolutionary behavior. We are expanding our work, and are
taking on several new correspondents
and writers to examine issues of
science versus technology, the politics
of culture, the relationship of
our evolved inability to understand
entropy, and more. We will be posting
essays by thoughtful writers and
thinkers on these and other issues
related to preparation for civilization's
collapse and our understanding of
that inevitability.
Request recent posts! You may request a sample of recent articles/postings. Please include a short note in the body of the subscription-request email, and we'll send a sample of our work.

Mission Statement NADDUM, the National Association of Dumpster Divers and Urban Miners, was formed in 1990 to publish a newsletter, The NADDUM News. While successful as a publication, it failed as a business after nine bi-monthly issues. We wrote about salvage, dumpster diving, finding antiques, safety, road oiling and paper-making. We researched electric vehicles and discussed county laws. We wrote as if survival into the 21st Century mattered. With this site we return to share a value we thought worthy then, and feel true today: Use little, use it well, use it again. Salvage anything! Bring everything interesting home-you might need it. Good building and living are predicated on having a large pile of goodies from which to choose. Don't throw anything away! On our pages you will find crazy ideas, good times, and a community attitude of giving and sharing. Articles, essays, cultural happenings, and issues of human nature. We will bring articles and ideas, products and priorities that reflect a knowledge of Thermodynamics (Entropy), and we will share thoughts that may see us through the coming troubles. Many are writing about what to do, but little of real value will be found in the major media. The true free press is the internet, and will be so until the world's powers decide they can no longer afford to have even our little truths exposed to daylight. Enjoy. We will be adding to this site regularly. Bookmark us, and return. Thank you, and good diving. Edmund Fitzgerald The Dumpster God is Good, |
